BASIC FUNCTION: Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Enterprise Risk Management, the Director, Records Management is responsible for planning, establishing, implementing, and overseeing the University Records Management Program in compliance with the Rhode Island Public Records Administration Act,RIGL38-3, as well as managing and processing public records requests, ensuring compliance with the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act (APRA),RIGL38-2, by reviewing public records requests, coordinating with relevant departments to locate records and redact confidential information when necessary, and providing timely responses to requesters, while adhering to legal guidelines and protecting the integrity of public records.
