The Safety & Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance programs for the electric cooperative. This position ensures that all cooperative operations comply with applicable OSHA, DOT, EPA, NESC, and other federal, state, and local safety regulations. This role supports a strong culture of safety through training, auditing, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ten years’ work experience in a safety compliance role for an electric utility. 
• Experience and/or in-depth knowledge related to the field operations and maintenance of a distribution electric system.
• A combination of education, training and experience may be substituted when competency in the role is demonstrated.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations, and the NESC.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based operating systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Willingness to work overtime and respond during emergencies as needed.

Valid driver’s license required; must pass pre-employment exam and drug screening.
