This is an Exciting and High visibility Technology Leadership role to Head State Street's Compliance IT data engineering team to support Anti Money Laundering (AML) Program. Candidate will design/develop and maintain data engineering/ETL solution and application integration for our on-prem as well cloud platform.
What you will be responsible for
Work with the team to design large scale enterprise solution and application integration for our on-prem to aws cloud migration.
Will closely collaborate with software development team to understand workload requirements and guide them to the best leverage of cloud services, optimizing for performance, cost and architectural flexibility
Lead In house application development and cloud migration efforts.
Assume the ownership from development to Production rollout using software development approaches from Waterfall to Agile, including test-driven development..
Working in multi-location agile environment in the alignment with business and technology teams.
Following application Development, Data engineering, Performance and security standards.
This is hands on technical role with less than 10% managerial responsibility to lead the technical team of engineers.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Finance, AML and related compliance domain is plus.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with technical leadership skills to drive data focused application development such as ETL, data engineering, data warehousing.
Extensive Experience in designing, developing, maintaining applications using Oracle and Bigdata technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, SQL.
Strong experience in working with business teams to understand requirements and leading development team and drive the end to end delivery.
Experience in maintenance and support of production applications, troubleshooting issues along with performance tuning.
Strong in programming languages with Hands-on experience: Scala Spark, Oracle PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting.
Knowledge of ETL Tools, Github, Autosys, Agile methodology is preferable.
Exposure to ElasticSearch and machine learning process is a big plus.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $222,500 Annual The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
